Anyone use the Remington Buckhammers and a rifled choke tube?

No, but they are supposed to work OK in smoothbores and rifled barrels. I'd guess the will work in a rifled choke tube.
They do kick more than other slugs I've tried.

No but my son shoots them out of a rifled 20ga and they are flat out devastating. He consistently leaves bigger holes than my 12ga and mostly deer drop in their tracks. I have shot copper solids for as long as I can remember but switched to the buckhammer last year. I have not had the oppurtunity to try them on deer yet.

Never tried them in one with a rifled choke tube. I like them quite a bit however I have to admit to the recoil part.

They make a reduced recoil load but I can't find it in the stores. I dropped down to 2 3/4 since I hurt my shoulder.

I read an article in American Rifleman talking about how your wasting your money, and increasing your pain for what you gain by shooting 3" slugs anyways.

If you count a ICS hunter 340 as a buckhammer ( i do)....then yes.

Well I found the buckhammer slugs on sale at Cabela's for 5.99 a box. Luckily Walmart and Bass Pro honor competitors ads. I haven't had a chance to shoot any yet but will try them this week.

I didn't think Wal Mart would comp a magazine ad? I worked there for 8 years and the ad had to come from a place that was within 50 miles. That's the rules or so they used to be. What Wal Mart did you comp them at??? Would just like to know. Thanks BB I've tried to get them but can't find them. Cabela's doesn't have them listed any more. Or I couldn't find them on their web site. I have a place that has them on back order. They sell them for $5.98 if you buy 10 or more.

I just found them on the Gander web site. I think I'll just go up there. $1.00 more but I know my wal Mart in Linton won't comp that. But still for a $1.00 more that's not a bad price. Going to get a few and stock up on them. Thanks BB
I wanted to order these from Cabela's last week when I ordered my sabots for my muzzy but they werne't on their site at all. I did find them at lunch and almost ordered them until I found them at Gander

i killed the first deer ever killed with the Buckhammers the year before they were on the market. A friend designed them in E-town Ky. They are good with a choke tube but better with a full rifled barrel.
