Im trying to check out a few other public huntin areas in Southern Indiana and was curious if anyone has been hunting in the Harrison-Crawford SF near Coryden or Obannon Woods area ? I have never hunted these areas but I would like too. I also would like to find info about where u can and cant hunt on these properties so if anyone has info they would like to share let me know, Thanks

Before gun season they are worth hitting, during and After not so much. I live 20 miles away and hunt them some, seen some nice bucks if a 15 inch wide eight in the 120s is what you are after this place can realistic produce one in a season. Now 150s would be a once in a Lifetime for there.
Unlike the private ground in southern IN

I been tryin to check it out over the past week or so, found a lot of sign but no deer. I lost my private spot right at the beginnin of bow season so Im strugglin to scout and hunt pretty much the same time. Hopefully I can just find a spot to fill a tag. I been out of venision for a while now, I would be happy with a doe ! Thanks for your post

Know how you about losing private land to hunt at the last minute and having to scout/hunt. Best of luck to you. On public lands you will find that the further away you get from the roads of trails the less hunter they will be.

I hunt In Lanesville, and out in Crawford Co., but my neighbor(and friend) hunts somewhere off of Cold Friday Rd. They kill deer about every year but never a big buck.He told me that if I ever hunted ANY public land, that I should walk a LONG ways before I picked a tree. ....For whatever thats worth......
