I hunt in a swamp in Central Indiana, last Saturday I saw the shooter for the year and decided to move in on him, I wanted to set up closer to where I saw him so maybe I could actually arrow the beast.
As I have sat there for the last few mornings and evenings I grunt, wheeze, bawl, scratch, rattle, and spar in sequences. The sequences I use I try to imagine the natural order of sounds I would hear in the real world and the order they would either agitate me or entice me. In the evenings I hear alot of social grunts all around me and surprisingly I hear or have heard a lot of head gear knocking in the last week off to my southeast.
Now the reason I posted... every time I snort wheeze and then rattle I hear nothing. I follow up around thirty seconds or so later and when I finish almost as if in response I hear the sound coming from at least one direction and up to three directions a sound I have never heard in the woods before it sounds almost like a frustrated buck when tending a doe that wont concede to breed, it is a three or four second noise the sounds like a clicking and "dingydingydingy" mixed together which is sent in ascending volume and followed by what almost sounds like an angry grunt. Maybe this long winded explanation sounds a little far fetched but I have heard it nearly every time I have been out and haven't been able to associate it with any particular animal yet, I see deer every night. I am hoping to hear some feedback on this like maybe someone has heard it and might know what it is...
