Was in my stand this morning scanning around and seen this directly behind my stand about 30 yards away. When I left the stand today I picked it up and brought it home. Nice 8 point with good mass for a young deer. Just think what he would have been in another 4-5 years!

Is that how it looked when you found it? Odd that it hasn't been chewed on, that I can see anyhow.
Nice horns and didn't even have to fire a shot.

Yes thats the shape it was in. It had one tiny little nibble on the tip of one tine but that was it. Not near as many squirrels and field mice around our area anymore...too many coyotes and hawks/owls around. Didnt see any deer today, but was still a great day, especially when you bring home a find like that.

I tried, they said it was too underweight to count. Didnt take long to field dress it either.
