I'm not confident enough in my Flinter yet, andI want to hunt "light" anyway, so I'm going with the .50 Pistol and some Barnes Sabots.

That looks fun !
I actually dusted off my old round ball gun over the past weekend and ran a couple thru it. I may try to shoot a skinhead with it. Last deer I killed with it was probably close to 10 years ago.

This is my MDM muzzleloader............ breech action .45 cal, stainless steel & walnut. It has DROPPED every deer it's been fired at (not another step!)..... hope to keep it that way too!

If I carry a gun it will be a Knight Wolverine that I also use during firearms season with 80 grains loose 777 with a 240 grain hornady sabot.
My 8 years old will be shooting the same bullet with 50 grains of 777 in his Rossi .50

If I get my SS/laminate Omega back in time I will probably use it, but as it stands now a Lyman Deerstalker in 54 caliber. I've always wanted to whack something with it anyway.
Maybe just take the first big doe I see and take my bow with me the rest of the year for a buck.
