Great weekend with the youngsters. I want to thank all that came to hunt with us. Sorry we didn't go a better job with stand selection. I want to compliment the parents who have raised these kiddos. All were very polite and great sports in spite of the tough hunting conditions. Also many thanks to Woody for all the hard work, and gathering the goodies for the kids. We couldn't have done it without Bob and Lea. Tireless effort on keeping us fed and cleaning up the residue. Many thanks. Again, the youngsters made it all worthwhile.......great group we had there. Congrats to Trey on the only harvest. We had two near misses Sunday night from Nathan and Kisha. Wish we had gotten both of those. We had a couple of other missed oppurtunities, but those things happen to all of us. All in all it was a successful outing, here's some pictures. Trey's deer: Click on the pic Outdoor fun:

That looks like a blast!
I am kind of ashamed to say but this is the first youth season that I didn't take other youths (besides my son).
Those group deer hunts are the best and it's even better when kids make up the group!
A big Thank You to Woody and Timex and all others who put it on.
I hope you know you have made memories that will last a lifetime!

I wouldn't be too concerned about the stands Timex. There were deer seen and if everyone had connected that had a shot we would have had several deer in camp; it was a great experience.

Nice work and nice photos! If only you guys could have had some does walk into camp while you were eating, everyone could have scored! Lots of food.....that's for sure! LOL.
I'm sure everyone had a great time and brought home a ton of memories and new friends. Congrats to everyone involved!!!

I'm sure that you recognize deertracks and dbd870 for the HI Homecoming event.

timex Im sure NO ONE is blaming you for stand placement!!! I've been responsible for the last 4 years of placing our blinds and it is a thankless job! lol Your either a hero or a zero~! In fact Im also responsible for telling the Hit Squad who to send cameras with and this year every kid who DIDNT have a camera with them killed a deer!!!! LOL

In fact Im also responsible for telling the Hit Squad who to send cameras with and this year every kid who DIDNT have a camera with them killed a deer!!!! LOL There are good number of deer on this property. Everyone saw deer but in most instances the deer were: 1) Too far away. 2) Moving too quickly 3) Obscured by brush/foilage. 4) Wrong sex. (rectified next year) This is all bottom ground and REALLY overgrown this year. Lots of foilage to contend with and all the crops were still in the fields. Lots of standing corn. Although we would like to have seen every hunter go home with a deer that very seldom happens on any hunt. The weekend would have been a huge success even if we had not taken any deer. I did not hear one complaint..
