Got me a 9 pointer this morning

Got up in the tree this morning and realized my ram rod was missing from my muzzleloader. Wasn't even sure I should hunt knowing that I wouldn't be able to take a follow up shot if needed. Around 8 o'clock the first doe I had a chance to shoot on this property this year comes in. She looks mature and I decide I am going to take her. She looks my way and starts running and I wait for her to stop but she doesn't. Reason she is running is a buck is chasing here. As soon as I saw him I had just a couple seconds to shoot and I did. He fell over and I hit him in the neck. Not where I meant to hit him but I will take it. Amzaingly this is the biggest buck I have taken in 20 years of hunting. If that doe would have stopped I would have not been able to shoot the buck. I think I am going to mount him.
