It was a very good season on our little patch of deer woods here in Switzerland Co. We took 3 ten pointers 1 nine pointer and a doe. All were taken on our 70 acres. This is my dad's buck. It has huge brow tines that bow forwad and then sweep back at the tops. This is his first deer in about 15 years. He got out of hunting for a while, but I think after this buck, he has the fever again. This is my brother-in-laws ten pointer. After a long and rough season, he saw this buck while walking to his stand. He dropped it in the field with a couple of shots from a Rem. 870. This is my freezer doe I shot with a Rem. 870 with a 3" Rem Slugger. A double lung shot dropped her right in her tracks. Yes, that is the trunk to a 96 Saturn. I REALLY need a truck. This is my ten pointer I shot on Halloween. My uncle shot a nice 9 pointer on opening morning of gun season, but I did not get any pictures. It is about the same size as the other bucks. All in all, it has been the best deer season ever on our property.

Here is another picture of all of the racks together. The guy in the orange hat is the one that killed the other buck on our place. The guy in back on the right is another uncle. He got his buck about a mile away. It is a twelve, basic 10 with split brows. Hey Turkeyscout, My Dad did get me started in hunting. I think my first hunting experience was as a "rabbit dog". He would have me jump on brush piles to scare the rabbits out. He was also with me when I shot my first deer. A fat doe when I was in the sixth grade.

I know what you mean about needing a truck. I have put both my buck and my doe in the trunk of my 05 cavalier. Last year I had two does at the same time in the hatch back of a 93 Eagle Talon. But like was said before, you have to do what you have to do.

Heh. Truck... My only vehicle is a 95 Tracer wagon, so I lined the back with a tarp before loading my 2 does. The DNR guys asked if I "worked" in Chicago - since I obviously knew how to keep blood off the interior of my car. I told 'em ta "shaddap and help me load the bodies..." Did look kind of practiced...
