:-/I am considering the purchase of the Taurus TrackerB 4510 to use as a "backup" sidearm during deer-firearms season. I currently carry my Ruger GP100/.357 and am consistently shooting 2" groups out to 15 yards (pretty much my limit). I have a guy interested in buying my Ruger. However, I am wondering if anyone out there can tell me how tight a group the Taurus (with the 6-1/2" barrel) is at 10-15 yards and if there are other issues to be concerned about. Any advice?

I would keep the Ruger. There is more than one horror story about Taurus customer service floating around.

Good and valuable feedback. Interestingly enough, I just had a conversation with a client who echoed your sentiments. Told me to hold on to the Ruger-said it would be a miracle to shoot as tight of groups with the Taurus and felt the Taurus would not hold up to the Ruger when it comes to reliability. Still learnin' here. So far I'm thinkin' it best to hold on to the GP100. Thanks for the input.

The forcing cone cracked on it after about 30 rounds and you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it. I would also, recommend S&W. I have 3 now, a 686, a model 60 Pro snubby and a Model 41. All of them are unbelievable shooters. They are top notch quality. There are a lot of old used ones out there, which says a lot for quality and reliabilty. A lot of people don't like S&W because they caved to the internal lock that Bill Clinton pressured them into. Ruger is a good gun too.

I have The Judge, 45LC / 2-1/2" .410. It is very accurate with the .45 LC rounds.

Don't bother, you can stomp snakes as far away as you can hit them with shotshells or .45 slugs. You have to be on top of something to get many pellets (#6) in it and accuracy was not good at all with .45 rounds. Basically has a big shotgun bead for a sight.
