Well I put a new set in a swampy area where 4 fields meet. I have had access to hunt this area for 8 yrs but never placed a set there till today. Now the outlook wasn't good for the weather since it was steady at 18mph and gusting to 20+. I went in at 11am hung it up and was back at the house by 1230. Took my sent free shower and petted the dogs and out the door I went and was in the stand at 2pm. Now this has to be the windest day I have ever hunted it was unbeliveable, finally around 345pm the wind started to slow down alittle. Now I am positioned on the north side of the swamp and figured the deer will be bedded on the south because of a couple reason( wind out of the south and its the thickest crap I have ever seen . I caught movement back in the thick stuff around 400pm, alittle doe fawn and there she was my mature doe that I have been hunting so very hard for. I let her come in till she was at 65yds quartering to and put the hammer down. The lightfields and remington are a very deadly combo, she piled up in 30yds. I will post the pictures tomorrow just wanted to get the story up. Now its alittle rest time till Muzzle season on Dec 8th, going to helping my wifes cousin from Tenn get a couple deer. Take Care Eric
