Tell the youngster great job. It is great to see young hunters getting hooked.

Good Job, I'm sure he's hooked. My son took his first one six years ago. He's scored every year since.

It was a slow weekend. We left for our club on Wednesday after he (my son) got out of school, we hunted our club Thursday morning, came back to Indianapolis to eat dinner, went back to the club and hunted there Friday Morning. Friday afternoon we drove over to our Lawrence County spot for the afternoon hunt, and then hunted the club again Saturday morning and afternoon. Sunday morning we drove down to Washington-Jackson State Forest where Josh tagged this doe.
I seen two deer all weekend and couldnt get a shot, Josh seen one small buck at Lawrence County and shot and missed and then two doe at Washington-Jackson....one he shot.
We also took a buddy of my son's (Ryan) this weekend, he is 16 and has never killed a deer. He didn't see anything all weekend.
We had fun but we were all wore out Sunday!

Congrats to you and your Son!
It was very slow for me also. I had my 8 year old Son out carrying the gun for the first time on 3 seperate hunts during the holiday and he didn't see a thing. He got bored a few times but wanted to go back. I don't think the full moon helped us much.
