Maybe this is the ticket to get him all the way in.

All it consists of is a white feather about eight to ten inches long glued to some fishing line and tied to a cheap clamp style clothes pin.

Here is a link if you want to buy one, but all it is is a feather and string and anyone can put one together in a matter of minutes for less then a buck. (pun intended)

On more than one occasion I have held my bare hand in front of myself at about the height of a deer, while flicking it back and forth like a deer's tail and had does come in close to try and figure me out. Even after they have spotted me and are close to spooking they will almost always come closer to investigate. I have no doubts that it will work but white feathers and a piece of string can be found for less than $10.
