I rushed home from work hopped on the fourwheeler and drove to one of my hunting spots up the road. It is basically two small woods a giant thicket and several growed up fencerows surrounded by corn and soybean fields. The neat thing about this place is that you can setup however you need to to play the wind. It has easy access all the way around. With only having about an hour and a half to hunt I decided to sit in a portable blind on a fencerow. After not seeing anything for an hour I decided to stillhunt the thicket. I walked slowly with the wind to my face. I did push a doe out about a third of the way in but she didn't blow or seem spooked. I continued on until I was almost to the end and then I had to step out into a picked beanfield. As I took my first couple steps out I saw this nice buck. It was strange though he was walking with the wind to his back but he had his nose to the ground. I looked through my scope and instantly saw that he was a shooter and dropped him at about 80 yards. I called my wife and she drove my truck right out to the field and after some hugs and high fives I gutted him and we strapped him on the hitch and haul. No dragging on this one thank God because he was heavy. After we checked him in I drove to Trophyhunters house (a whopping three miles) and he came over and basically caped the thing out for me.
