Ive seen 8-10 different bucks but no shooters. Guy across the north fence killed the 10 i was after on Sunday. It came onto the property so him and I and another guy tracked it 200 yds or so and found it still alive. This was after waiting 5 hours. He had gut shot it. We walked upon it and the other guy shot it point blank in the heart. It jumped up and ran another 50 yds and fell down. I told the other guy he was lucky it didn't come up swinging its head as he might have been in trouble. I went and got my 4 wheeler to pull it out and while I was gone the guy cut his hand bad and got faint so he lay down in the field. For a while I thought I might have to pull both of them out. lol h.h. This is the buck I was after.

Pretty nice deer. I woundnt worry about it hornharvester . That guy is just one less guy you have in the woods spooking all the deer for the rest of the season . I bet you are glad that you guys found that deer. Gut shot deer sometimes are never found.

I know you are bummed that someone else killed your buck, but at least you guys found it. Most gut shot deer are never found and just go off and die. Hopefully that buck had plenty of time to spread some of those good genes before he died.

Unfortunate for you however you showed charater to help with the recovery. I hope another good one comes your way for a reward.

Unless I'm mistaken, I counted, 11 points on that Buck. In either case he's a dandy. Congrats to the hunter AND you for helping him. I hope his hand didn't need stitches.

Update,
The guy did cut his thumb tendon into and has a hand cast and if you count all the little points this buck is a 16 pointer. Did you all notice the large mass on the side of his neck behind his right ear? h.h.
