I know you guys must get sick of the same question that is really kind of hard to answer, but here it goes. Do you think the rut will still be going this weekend? I saw a buck chasing a doe last night, but I was in my truck. I won't be able to go again until Thursday morning, but plan on going every day between then and Monday.

Yes.
Will it be as visually obvious as the past 2 weeks? No.

I'd say its just about all over. There might be a stray doe or 2 come in late but the biggest part is over

Yes it will be. A lot of does should be bred by now so the bucks should be up and moving looking for hot/ receptive does.
Typically Thanksgiving is a day I always see bucks cruising.

I shot one of my best bucks on Thanksgiving Day 2 years ago. I'm looking forward to Thursday morning, except the forecasted rain.

I actually expect it to get better again. It was going good about 10 days ago with bucks chasing and then the last few days it has been slower due to breeding phase. I expect the next few days to see bucks out cruising again.

In my opinion, the best hunting period of the season is over and 1/2 to 3/4 of the does have been bred by now. However ..... does continue to come into heat off and on clear into December, bucks know this and bucks are ready anytime a doe is. So there is still plenty opportunity to see rutting activity, catch a buck running a doe, etc. You an still have some good hunting, and if a hot doe shows up in your area it might be real good, but the majority of the chasing, fighting, etc. is tapering off and winding down gradually.
