They seem to be getting very good reviews. It's hard not to like that wound! I think I'll try them this year.

That was pretty graphic, but the animals were all dead inside 10 seconds. That's a good thing.

Woodmaster shot his this year's turkey with a Rage two blade and it looked like it had been hit with a Samurai sword..
Nasty cut.....

I tried the Rage broadheads, don't like them, and got rid of them.
Went back to good old Muzzy's. They fly plenty straight, and you don't have to worry about the blades popping open when your arrow is on the rest, or in the quiver. That was a constant issue with the Rage heads. I don't need another little equipment quirk to worry about .

Rage broadheads have a bad reputation of opening during flight....and ending up Lord knows where.
At the ATA Show last winter, Rage had a BIG promotional indoor 100 yard tournament. They had supposedly addressed the "opening during flight" issue. Tell that to Randy Ulmer....who lost the tournament when his final shot ended up buried in the carpet some twenty yards in front of the target. Still see he's promoting Rage though.
Lots of folks like mechanical heads. I've shot two deer with them....and based on the results, I'll never shoot another big game animal with a mechanical head. That said, I do shoot mechs for turkeys.

I know those type of broadheads have come along way but I could't stand having one more thing go wrong that I could have avoided. There are enough variables to hunting I just can't see adding an extra if I can avoid it.

A Lion with a bow? Wow. That guy has big steel ones. Even with a Guide who was carrying a gun.
