Still looking for a shooter buck, but yesterday I did see plenty of smaller bucks. I saw 6 bucks total.... I had 2 come by before I even had time to get my camera out of the pack. Here are some that need to season for 3 more years........ Sorry for the focus probs, the woods weren't very bright yesterday and the camera shutter kept wanting to stay open to compensate, which means with shaky hands it's hard to get a sharp image. Button Buck..... if you look close you can just see the buttons Here's a little 8 that came by..... Another little buck.... maybe an 8, not sure.... This little guy only had one side.... Another view of the lopsided buck.... Ya gotta let the little one's grow up if you want bigger bucks!

Good photos BSU.
I hunted all day yesterday (after working 12 hours, 6PM to 6AM, then hunted till 5:30PM we have to quit at official sunset) in an area I have never hunted before. Saw 6 bucks only one gave me a shot. He was a small guy, pulled the bow back and shot him 5 or 6 times...in my mind. Only saw one that I would have shot in a heart beat, 1 that was border line. The rest were dinks and I got a deer in the freezer and a few more hunts left to hunt yet. I'll take a doe before I take one of those little dudes.

That is the way I have hunted for several years now. Watch the small ones and wait for a big one. Have had to eat some tags but that is OK. Just being able to enjoy the hunt is what it is all about to me. Plenty does for the meat part.
