We have never had a food plot and we are going to plant a small 1/2 acre plot to see what happens. What do you guys recommend we plant?

If you're looking for a fall food plot Turnip & Rape planted in August would be my choice. I'd get out and Round Up the area now.

Obviously something they like, with high protein content, but also think about what is around. You'll have better luck with something that isn't already available nearby.

I'll second clover. Cheap, easy to plant and get growing, deer love it.

A chicory clover mix is better than pure clover especially if you want to bring in turkey as well as deer.
