Got to see a nice 8 point taken at 10:10 this morning with a .357 PCR. The deer was taken at about 25 yards, ran about 40 and stopped so the man put another round into him and he didn't take another step.

I still haven't had a chance to try out my .41 mag. I saw some deer, even had my crosshairs on 4 different does yesterday but I lost my opportunity at the smallest one while I was waiting for one of the bigger ones to give me a shot.

My interest is piqued. I can hear myself now. "Honey you don't find these very often, so it was one of those investments that just don't come around much. The reloading dies had to be purchased to save money."

Yeah, I got one with my .44 mag Marlin on Saturday. Sat in the woods most of the day and saw only one very small doe and let her walk. Then, at around 3 in the afternoon, I decided to set on an old junked farm machine that was on the edge of a field. About 5:15 a big doe came into the filed at about 60 yards. Shot her and she dropped right by the road at the fields edge. The only dragging that I had to do was up into the bed of my truck. A truck that I used to bag another doe about 30 minutes later! parson

Where did you find a .41 mag rifle? OIS nailed it. Marlin reintroduced 1894FG this year after dropping a year or two ago. The reintroduction was very convenient for me since I already had a SBHH in .41 mag.

I had 3 or 4 in the crosshairs, but I wasn't 100% confident, mainly due to range and thick cover, so I passed; the 1894 and the 240 JHPs will have to wait until Thursday morning for another crack at 'em.
