I just got a card in the mail from an Illinois outfitter with my full name and address on it.
Not sure how any outfitter in Illinois got my full name (not my nick name) OR even knows that I hunt Illinois..
The name and address is identical to how I filled out my NR archery application last year.

I'll take a guess and say that that info, minus your SS # is public information and available to anyone that asks. I'd assume it's the same with most any state once in the hands of the game agency.

It would seem that Illinois gave out the info one way or the other.
I know that states share info. When hunting in NC I had to show a hunting liscense from my home state. All I had was an old turkey tag, but it was in their computer system.

I would say given the financial state of Illionis that ..... yes ..... they would sell anything they could.
This financial situation that most states are in is a real mess. The spending has got to STOP!

I would have thought a state/fed agency would have to have a waiver or grant of permission from the license holder before releasing address info, or have some sort of notice/statement to be provided when you apply...

Illinois? Yeah, I'd say that they will sell anything.
