went out last eve.,moved over to the other side of the woods, i saw two does that i couldnt get a shot on, then had a 6 pointer come in and lay down down not 20 yrds.right behind me.i grunted thinkin he would leave ,nope he just laid there.so about 10 minutes went by when a small doe came running thru the woods and stopped in front of me ,im thinking backstraps.she s looking behind her like somethings following her.i wait a bit but nothing comes in.im getting ready to take my shot ,i have forgotten about the 6 pointer, well all of a sudden he makes a move toward her ,must have scared the crap out of her,she bolts one way and it scares him and he goes another way.it was funny to see how nervous both of these youngsters were.so i didnt get a deer but it was one of those hunts that made you feel good to be alive and well and to thank the man upstairs for being able to get out and enjoy his creations.

Well you definitely understand what hunting is about. Yes it was a good hunt. Last Saturday I jumped a huge buck as I was going to my location and I had the same feeling. Isn't God's creation wonderful!

That's what I'm looking for on the DSP hunt. Fun walking through the park with a gun.
Dragging out 1-3 deer is just a bonus.

Pre-scout you a couple places where you can sit comfortable and cover an area in range of your gun and let those younger guys push the deer around. Ive been park hunting the last 7 years and just sit and wait. Pretty soon someone pushes deer by you. Good luck, h.h.
