BTW it is 'Public' ground to an extent but I hunt in the Military/Security only area, and still had people in there that should not have been...

Sorry guys I did not mean to start a war here!!! No problem.. Your post was VERY valid. Some folks just got carried away.. It has been a LONG time since I have hunted Crane (even though I put in every year), but I am sure that any time that one throws in hunters in a situation of fairly close proximity and they are all after "the big one" then there will be some conflict. It is not just the hunters that are hunting Crane, but other areas too. The things described is a poor representation of our sport. IMO - It is the overwhelming desire to succeed on a big buck that is bringing out the worst in deer hunters. WW

Hey all this is my first post, figured I would try to get things back on track.
Any more people hunt this day and have success? Any more info on the 24" buck? Where it was killed? Take care all and good luck!

I seen a huge main frame 8 with kickers comming forward on the G2's.
No pics, but I seen it first hand.
Killed by a youngman hunting with his father as a dependent.
Largest main frame 8 I have seen in person.

The 24" wide buck taken at Crane was in the Shoals paper. It was a main frame nine with a kicker.
