Look like tuna to me. People fish on Okinawa? ;d Chico does. Its a mix of Tuna (Maguro) and Bonito (Kotsuo). A coworker of mine is a fishing nut, and I said if its pouring down rain I'll go out. Thats all he needed to know. He put together an outing and we chartered a boat. The guy we went out with is tragically local, which you all know is the best type of person you want to put you on fish. He is a commercial Tuna fisherman by trade, but takes people out too. 2 hour boat ride out to where these guys are schooling up. You get out there and look for the birds, thats where the tuna are. Captain motors upwind of the school and you drift over them. you light them up for about 2 minutes before you drift off of the school, then its lines up and do it all over again. Good times, and GREAT eating. We went through 4 Maguro in sashimi alone while we filleted them. I am currently working on finding out about shore fishing opportunities here. They are here, but it takes some work to find out where to go. I'm breaking down the language barrier slowly but surely. I also want to get in on the BIG tuna and Mahi but its getting on summer here already, so I might have to wait until next season.

Oh,
Bonehead move of the trip.... Being the prepared fisherman I am, I took a pair of needlenose with me to use on the trip out of my toolbag.
Turns out you gotta rinse em off!
Now how do I say "Bolt Loosener" in Japanese?
