I bought this at an auction several years ago for a dollar. I Finally got around to taking it apart, sandblasting and repainting. I added a newer spring and thrower arm and it turned out pretty good. I stopped at the auction with a $5 bill and left with this, a wake board, 3 water skis, and $2 left. ![](http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/DSCN0366.jpg)

SWEET! i love auctions like that. Is that a cocking lever I see on that beast? Yes, it is. You push the lever forward and it swings the arm back and cocks it. Then you pull the lever back and it puts tension on the spring.
