And here I sit with my buck tag filled already. Had a 10 and an 8 pointer come by Friday AM at 7 yards, saw a couple small bucks last evening, saw a whopper shooter tonight, and haven't been able to get a good bow shot at a doe.
Gonna try and put my son on one of those good bucks Saturday.
They're going crazy right now, breeding has started and the big boys are on the prowl. Best hunting of the year right now, and it won't last long after the orange army hits the woods next weekend.

Last year is the only year since the OBR was put into place that I have not seen a bigger buck than I already tagged. Friday morning when I was doe hunting I saw 4 bucks, 1 bigger than the one I killed, one about the same and 2 smaller. Also hoping my son can get one of them this weekend. The first year the OBR was in I shot a 130ish 11 pointer in archery then opening day of gun I had a 150ish deer around my tree for 30 minutes ! I still like the OBR but it sure does suck not to be able to buck hunt and more this year. So far no one will feel sorry for me.....lol

What is a buck? For that matter what is a deer. Sure have not seen squat at Fairbanks.

It's on in Owen County. Big bucks running around everywhere with their guard down. I would say the first few does are in.

Wish I had that problem of already filling my buck tag, Geesh what a problem. I can't even see a buck let alone a deer. The deer are slim around here and that is a problem. The last 100 hours on stand I have seen 2 freakin deer. That stinks, most would have done throwed in the towel, I guess I just enjoy watching the leaves fall.
