Um... if you sign the petition to tell them they are wrong, all they will do will be to count your signature as one AGAINST bowhunting.
Doing ANYTHING on that site is a bad idea.
if you will notice by going to their main site, their "non profit partners" include radical ARFs.
NOTHING a hunter says on that site will do anything but count against hunting on one petition or another. It is not a place for rational argument, just a mutual mastur.....ful society for the green" fringe.

Ya, you signature, regardless of what you wrote, only adds to their total number of petitioners against bowhunting. They will only ever use the number they got, not the content. They'll say "we got 5,000 signatures from people who want to end the vicious sport of bowhunting, many of them even proclaimed themselves to be hunters." Thanks for the heads up Treetop, and don't be afraid to post everything you find like this, but I'm gonna have to pass on this one.

You guys may be right I don't know, I am really am not sure how a on line petition works and now I am wondering if I just added fuel to fight that I was against to begin with.
A few years back when I served on the chamber for the city of New Haven IN any and all petitions we summited to the city or state had to be in there original form no copy's or deviation from its original form or intent with good or bad comments had to be summited or it was consider null and void, again I only did a few and most of them were for grant money from the the state for improvement's to the city this may be the farthest thing from something like that.

Ya, they will only use the results from this poll for propaganda. For any poll to be valid, it has to be hand signeed by each person.

The problem is this "petition" is so worded that, regardless of comments, the Wording and Intent is to gather signatures to be recorded AGAINST bowhunting. If it wee a Poll with comments, it would be a different matter, but this is a Petition. Contridicting your signature (by definition supporting the wording of the petition) with comments opposing the wording of the petition doesn't change the number of signatures gathered. Besides, since when would a Liberal Politician care what contridictory comments are on the Petition? The purpose is to "convince" a Politician already predisposed to submitting such a bill with a number that s/he can say "signed a petition".
