Went to tippecanoe river today and went horseback ridding and deer scouting the bucks big and small were everywhere along with the does seen 12 bucks and a total of about 40 deer some let us ride right up to them. We rode from 10:30 to 4:30 made them earn there oats today. Rut is in full swing seek phase, couple of bucks with does that are about ready the rest were just wandering to and fro. Ah what a day to be in the woods didn't care I couldn't shoot it was such a great day and good time.

30pointbuck, which hunt did you get into? Myself and a buddy and his son are in the second one. We also have our spots picked out. We were in both last year.

I was drawn for the first hunt this year, I was drawn for both last year I ve been hunting the park for about the last 4 years just wanted to check out new areas with the horses. Gave me a better overall view of the park. They cover more ground than I can and the deer are not scared by them. I might go to winamac F&W across the street for the 2nd hunt and sit with my muzzleloader should be plenty pushed out.

Yep we have been drawn there for the last several years as well. I just wish we would have gotten in the first first one. The second is always real slow.
