deerdude, that sounds as good as any. I doubt if the deer will move at all. The corn will be noisy so you can move fairly fast from row to row. Good luck and don't forget to play the wind.

Lee side of a woodlot, anything that can block the wind.
Where I typically hunt if there is a wind block and an area that provides good downwind visibility the deer will hang there. Hope that makes since???

I've hunted standing cornfields during gun season with good success. It makes for some fun hunting during the middel of the day. I've never tried it during archery season but I think on very windy days it could be successful.

Hunting cornfields in high wind is something i always wanted to try. I watched a video of guys doing this and they start down wind and go across the rows, sticking your head threw first and looking up the row, then go threw. They said in the video they kill some great bucks doing this as the deer are calm and usually laying in the row. It they see one they go up the row until they are within shot range, then stick their body threw the corn at full draw and shoot. If you try this please tell us how you did. h.h.

Yup, Barry Wensel.
I would liked to have tried it, but the farmer got the corn out of here earlier than normal this year!
By the way, deer were moving yesterday evening even with the high winds.

The deer seemed to be moving the week before Halloween in the wind. Noticed they were primarily down between two ridges that offered some protection from the wind.
If they are hungry, they will move!

I bowhunt in the corn every chance I get when conditions are right I like to do it after a rain when its windy the stalks move out of the way more quietly, you need to listin to this trick it works almost every time when you slide down a row and get into bow range shuck a ear of corn reel quiet like. then toss it as far as you can on the other side of the deer then swlide over for te shot at full draw, almost every time they will be looking the way the ear of corn hit the ground. I could go on like when your following a track and see where it crosses a bare spot in the field its best to back up and go around the spot because they like to bed where they can watch the open area godown wind where you can cross without being seen this can be real exciting when I come out of a corn field i,m usualy exausted just the way you got to hold your bow an bend over to every row sure is fun thuogh happy hunting
