Nothing yet, I check the mail every day hoping. I have never hunted their, so I have not idea what to expect when I go.

My buddy blew it for me. He didn't get it post marked in time. So now I have to wait til the dec hunt with my brother.

Got my area confirmation papers in the mail today, I am to be at the Crane gate at 1:30 am (Thats always a rough one) and I got drawn for area #4. Anyone here familier with area 4? all I know is its a big area that borders some farmground, thought it might be a good area to catch a big un cruising for does since my hunt should be in the middle of the rut on Nov 11. I cant wait.

Don't you have until 5: 30 I saw the 1:30am but I thought Yeah right! What time do you you HAVE to be there? 5:00 I'll be there at 4:00. got 28 is that any good?

Yes if 28 is in the southern part of base it is supposed to be good hunting.

What time are you guys showing up? It will be around 1:30 like the card says, that way we can be the first out of the gate when they release everyone for the morning hunt. |

Got a 4:00 am gate time. Will be hunting area 27. Should be an interesting hunt...was interesting having aerials to match against the map showing the various areas this time around.

The way I understand it, you HAVE to get there when you card says or you'll be wasting gas, time and money by showing up! ;D

The way I understand it, you HAVE to get there when you card says or you'll be wasting gas, time and money by showing up! ;D Last year I asked them at the check-in gate (people inside checking you in) what would happen if someone had vehicle troubles or a flat and missed the check in time. Both people looked at each other and said "We've been doing this for years and don't pay attention to the times on the sheet. We could care less what time people get here as long as their thru the gate by 5:30" |

Crane/Martin County is now on Eastern time.
