I found a nice 9 ptr. in the creek today, nothing great, but still nice. Another EHD, this is the 3rd deer we have found. According to the local DNR, if I wanted to keep the antlers I needed to tag it and and have it recorded as such. Things are getting better, not smelling the stench of dead deer like we were over the last 2-3 months. Hope my worries are over. I will be very selective this year for buck or does. I hope everyone else will be also. Great website.

I just heard that the owner of the land I hunt in Scott/Clark county has found several dead deer this year. I'm glad to see some freezing weather moving in. This is supposed to kill off the EHD carriers. parson

We had a hard frost in the Central part of the state today..... not sure how it was down South but it was awesome to see a ton of frost on the ground this morning! Hopefully the frost will take care of any remaining disease carrying midges.

I own land in Jefferson County. We were at one time the #1 county in the state for EHD. I'm not proud of that record. I hope the heavy frost we got this morning kills off the last of the Midges. I'm sick of them.
