Here are the picture of my first attempts at call making. They did come from a kit from www.Brooksidegamecalls.comThere are some flaws I see, too much glue and such. My favorite looking is the Padauk Wood and the full strutt smoked glass over glass. My second is the Zebra wood slate over slate (It sounds the best to me) The purpleheart is a slate over glass The one I wanted to look best looks rougher to me and that is the mahogany Frosted glass over slate w/ a close up of a turkey head under. The pictures came from magazines I have and they fit under the the 3" sound board shape. The full strutt bird I took matches and lightly singed the edges just to be different and I love the way it looks...I am almost afriad to use it and ruin the looks . I had a blast and can't wait to do more...learn to handle tho household goop better, less is better I think. Thanks and be safe!

They all sound good except the smoked glass- I was afraid to use it, I liked they way it looks the best. It is interesting how the different set ups sound and the tones. It was a blast to make them.
Off topic LCBH- do you know a good buddy of mine that lives in Springville Bobby Eads?

Hey F22, welcome to the world of call making.
If ya want to hear what your smoked glass sounds like without scratching it up just mix a slurry of baking soda and water (Mostly soda) on a spot on the glass and play. When it dries just wipe it clean.
