Everyone's complaining about the heat, so I thought I'd ask a timely question:
How long CAN you let a deer lay before field dressing it in this weather without having the meat go bad? I always dress my deer as soon as I can, but what if it's a gut shot and you let it go for a few hours (or overnight) before you find it?
Does anyone have a chart showing X number of hours in 70 degree heat, X number of hours in 60 degree heat, X number of hours in 50 degree heat, etc?
