Wife got me a new trail cam for Christmas so I set it out over a pile of corn where I have been feeding the deer right behind the house.
Got 63 photos in three nights. About 25 of them were of the same nine point buck who came back all three nights, plus several does, an owl, a few rabbits and the wife's dog.
Set out a new bait pile in a more remote location and set it up to see what I might get.
Will e-mail Woody a photo of that boy to post on this thread.

This camera is a Moultrie, my first experience with one and very easy to use. Got another 100 or so photos this morning when I checked it, all the same deer, got another 20 or so photos of this buck.

I know this was a Moultrie and it looks like an infrared model? Do you mind telling me what Moultire Model this is?

Don't know the model number, and it is out in the field right now, so can't look at it and tell you. Will try to remember to check it out. Sorry.
My guess is that is a 2-1/2 year old buck. Not a great deal of mass, and not terribly wide. Plus, one a little older probably wouldn't be tame enough to let me get so many photos.

The body mass on that deer tells me 4.5 and older.....

You need to make yourself a gravity feeder so you dont have to worry about replacing the corn everyday or other day.

You need to make yourself a gravity feeder so you dont have to worry about replacing the corn everyday or other day. Hey parrothead, did you design your gravity feeder yourself or did you find a design online that you used?

No I got it off of here. It took me all of one minute to put it together. Very simple. I did paint mine though with 99 cent cans of pant.

My uncle works there. Maybe he could work me up a deal. ;D How often do you have to fill your feeder and how expensive does it get to keep it active?
