I used to hunt Michigan every year after Christmas and seeing herds was the norm. It can get real tense when you have deer all around you and you can move a muscle without getting nailed by one of them. Sure is fun though.

Went back out this evening. Didn't get in my tree till 4:40PM. At 5:15 I see a deer, then another and another until 12 come into view and stop at 35 yards . The lead doe is stomping and doing the head bobbing thing. Then they all bolt off. I was puzzled they busted me so quickly. I was motionless and just waiting. Afterwards I noticed that I forgot to reel in my pull strap. It was twirling around like a little tornado. This isn't the 1st time that's happened to me. DOH!.
