An item recently listed for sale brought this to mind:
Answer: Lay out blind
Contestant: What is the aftermath of an IU frat party.
Alex: That is correct.

Actually, IU has been working to clean up it's image. They definitely have raised the admission requirements from the distant past when I was applying to schools.

I realize this was a joke, but let me give my $0.02. I am an IU alumnus who never once attended a party while there and chose to have nothing to do with the Greek system (and not all of them were party animals!). The "biggest party school" you-know-what broke onto the national scene while I was at school there. True, a bunch of people partied all the time and made fools/flunkies of themselves as a consequence (this happens at any college), but I decided not to do that and did not appreciate being "lumped in" with everyone else who did as a result of the report/media coverage. Needless to say, I'm glad I did not do what most others did (I had no desire to anyways), and I believe I made out with a great education as a result. It's a shame IU took a hit in the public image, because not all of IU's student population chose to party to the exclusion of taking advantage of the excellent academic resources and education there.
