Peter Hamm, spokesman for the Brady Campaign against Gun Violence.
"Anyone who thinks they need to rush out and buy a firearm clearly has not been paying attention to how quickly we make progress on this issue."
What progress toward what goal on what issue?

Several liberals at work ( two of which hunt) were laughing at all the paranoid gun-buyers recently.
"That's crazy; he said he's not against guns...." was the extent of their thinking on the subject. Obama's record apparently did not matter.
AMAZING.

Hey, he's right... if you already have gun(s) it's pointless to buy more than you can readily use... Stock up on ammo and reloading components for the guns you have and get REALLY good at using them. 4 guns won't help if you don't have the ammo/can't shoot the one you have. Leave some on the shelf for the guy who doesn't have any...

I was only able to stock 5,000 small rifle primers before I moved.

Why would anyone be concerned given his past record on the issue.

I have stocked up on the "necessities" for the guns I already own... Now I am working on saving for a new gun.... thinking maybe a 45 ... also looking for a 380 for my wife for X-mas... not sure about the 380 though she voiced an interest... but has since kind of recanted it.... by saying that she would never carry a gun...

I wait for prices to drop on lead and other components. Would love to stock up but than again I have other needs for the money.

We've all seen this panic buying of guns & ammo, when Bill Clinton became President. Why is it whenever a Democrat is elected President everyone gets into a panic mode. Beter yet WHY did they vote for the Democrate?

Sleaze instead of the 380 why don't you look into the new Ruger 327 which is a revolver and easier for most ladies to use. Some of us guys too. I own a couple of semi's and don't keep one in the chamber. Do not like cocked and locked.
Umm I am buying ammunition for those that I have now that Osama has been elected. I also did not vote for him. Maybe a lot of those buying guns and ammo did not vote for him either.

It did get rave reviews from "The Shootists" and it seems to be very accurate.... also like the interchangeable front sights for elevation and the adjustable rear sights for windage... I am gonna have to look in to those a little more thanks Indianahick..

Yes they are totally new this year from Ruger. From what I have read they are a real nice little firearm. Easy to handle, low recoil, But with the stopping power of a 38 plus P. I keep looking for one to show up over at Gander but am getting tired of waiting on them and may have to do some calling around to find one. I think that it would make a great security revolver for the camper, one that the wife can use easily if necessary.
Sleaz -- You are welcome.

indianahick, I don't know how far you are from Seymour, but there is a great firearms shop there on 50/E. Tipton that has a bunch of pistols called Acme. I'd give him a call. He might have one if they're in shops now.
