When I did mine I bought the peroxide at Sally's Beauty Supply. Any store like that should carry the peroxide you need.

That looks great.... Wanna do mine if I ever manage to score a buck this year? No thanks. I was thinking about trying to do this for some extra cash, but the thought of messing up someones trophy would make me sick. I wouldn't want to ruin anyones rack by dropping it or something.

I did not protect the antlers, but I tried to keep them out of the water as much as I could. I read that you can wrap the bases in aluminum foil. I might try that next time. As for the peroxide, beauty supply stores will be your best bet. I think they sell 30% strength.

I got a friend that uses a pressure washer and they look very professional. He skins the head, takes off the bottom jaw and puts a small hole thru the back side of the skull into the brain cavity. Then he blasts away everything. Then he wipes it dry and applies a peroxide paste with a brush and lets its sit on the bench overnight.
I'm gonna try this on my buck.

You are better off to let the skull set in a bucket of water and let the meat rot off, then gently wash the rotted flesh off with low pressure garden hose. It may take a couple of weeks for it to rot off but you are less likely to damage the skull this way. This is called the maceration process.
