Wow--great, but sickening, explanation of how media intervention affected the outcome of the election. My insightful but very outspoken, very conservative little brother ("blackbeard" on this forum) also made some good observations after the election. So many of the current "young adult" generation (many of whom were interviewed on the clip as Obama voters) have been raised to expect handouts, immediate gratification, and avoidance of consequences for actions or lack of action as "normal" treatment they and others are entitled to. Obama was talked-up as a "rock star" (for lack of a better term) among people our age, especially 18-year-olds who have never voted before. Voting for and supporting Obama (and getting as many other young people as possible to blindly support him) became a togetherness and bonding experience for them, and they voted for him without really considering the implications of what he stands for (except that he stands for liberalism/socialism and they like the idea of getting handouts, having immediate gratification, and not facing consequences). Maybe it was also a way for them to break away from the potentially less-liberal-on-average views of their parents and develop their own identities. I think OI also has a very good analysis of what happened-- huntingindiana.proboards52.com/index.cgi?board=politics&action=display&thread=22814&page=1

Stern did a similar "man on the street" interview a while back, which proved what I already knew from people I work with at the office. www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_5XkK35D-ADon't get me wrong, I understand it's a big "win" for the black community, but many voted based soley on race.

But what is you point for posting this video? 66 Million People that voted for Obama are all like this? 12 out of 66 Million; yup that is a valid sampling.

I'm not at all surprised. Like I've said before, I think we should have to take a short quiz on candidates and policies before voting. If nothing else, it would help open some eyes.

Something else for you think about..... A Zogby poll of Obama voters showed they knew almost nothing about Hussien, but they knew the negative stuff about McCain/Palin. www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.cfm?ID=1642

It doesn't take a high IQ to see the validity.
