Hunted Fri-Sun. Front came in late Friday afternoon and Sat was really ugly; Heavy wind and rain am; the rain let up later on in the afternoon but still had 30mph wind and nothing moving. Saw 3 bucks and 1 doe with a yearling the whole time - least amount of activity I have ever seen down there. I took this 7pt. so at least I don't have to make tag soup out of my KY tag. With the 2 bucks I'm good for the year but i have few requests for meat so I may try and snag a doe yet.

Way to Go, Yes Tag soup, it's that tasty as i have had a bowl of it over the years. Plus spending the money for a Out of State Tag, you like to fill those tags? Great Job... Well the weather here opening day was rainy and windy also, so you didnt miss much...

Yep, not too bad Woody. You never know how the season is going to turn out do you. Last year I was seeing the gals and almost no bucks this year it's the boy's turn. I'm quite pleased with my archery buck and this 7 was the best of everything I saw on the trip. Not sure how hard I'm going to work on a doe but if I can connect on one with the handcannon it would be pretty nice trifecta; bow - rifle - handgun.
