I've been shooting thunderheads for years many years and can't say I'm unhappy with their performance. Lately however, I've read and heard a lot about the advantages of mechanical broadheads. I'm really interested in learning more about the Aftershock broadheads and was wondering if anyone on this forum has used them. Any experience pro or con? I'd like to hear from someone other than the manufacturer before I lay down some of my hard earned money to buy them.

I also shot thunderheads for years, but just switched to mechanicals last year. I decided I would not shoot a mechanical broadhead until someone came out with a very reliable design. I had friends that shot various mechanicals that did not open. I decided that Rage broadheads were brand for me. They shoot great and cut a huge hole. I don't know anything about aftershocks, so I apologize for not being able to help with that, but I would recommend at least looking into the Rage 2 blade or the G5 expandable.

Has anyone had any problems with the NAP Spitfires?

a very accurate and deadly broadhead, taken six deer with them(spit-fire 125).my advice would be :be patience and wait for a broadside shot, you will get a complete pass thru, do not take risky shots with expandables, and i heard good reports on the rage, they have a different design on how they open on contact, which is better......turkey scout

I've gone teh mechanical route, switched back to fixed blade. I reaaaaaaaalllllly like the low profile mega sharp Sonic broad head, by New American Broadhead. Small, but solid and deadly. Shot through a spine last year. Broad head was still together, still solid, still sharp enough to kill another deer. My 2 cents.
