I am contemplating getting a new stand. Which one to get is the problem. I have read all the praise for Summit on here. I know most of you that have one like them a lot. I like the fact that the Lone Wolf is very light however I am a comfort guy. I don't mind extra weight and like to sit 5-6 hours at a time. Is the Lone Wolf as comfortable? The seat looks very thin. I think the ultimate stand would be a lone wolf platform with a Summit seat. I would really like to hear from Lone Wolf users. I hate not being able to try a stand in the store before I buy one. It seems all the places that sell them don't let you sit on them first. They always have them up to high or behind some barrier.

I'm curious also. For other reasons. I wanted to buy a second climber for taking to Colorado and other places where a lighter stand would be benefical.

I have the hand climber and one of the hang ons with their sticks. I just carry the climber everywhere or put the strap over my shoulder. The sticks are the best made, period. Honesty, the stands are the quietest you will find and are invisible in a tree. But comfort is the tradeoff. I have a bad lower back and I think the firm seat is more or less what my back needs and I try to stand quite a bit. The stands are very sturdy and light, but your not going to sit all day in one very often(I've done it one time in my climber). Comfort is pretty low on my list.

Look into the Lone Wolf Alpha Climber, Light, hangs on great, Comfortable, sit down stand up, no trip you bungee cord across stand, easily set to back pack, fold flat for easy carry, great non slip platform. Had both sold summit viper for $75. after paying 250. Would not go into pack easily, trip bungee cord almost caused fall, twice on same hunt, plastic foot hooks stick out in the way. If you like to put stuff under the seat summit sucks.

I have some back problems, pinched nerve that gets me out of the stands after about 1-2 hours and hurting. Bought me a summit goliath climber, and I can hunt 5-6 hours with no problems with my back, so comfortable, caught myself taking a nap last fall and woke up to a doe underneath me. But I have had my summit for 3 years now and can really love getting up in the trees to hunt deer and enjoy it without paying the price. I have to put my money on the summit, plus there customer service is great.
