People got tired of watching shows about Pike County, Ill? I have a feeling in a few years down the road guys are going to be saying, "Boy, I if we had only known this was going to happen"! h.h.

It tells me they are usually hunting in a pen. A friend of mine mentioned he saw a hunt on TV in Decatur county. That had to be the fenced hunting operation up there. Most tracts of land are way to small in Decatur county to support an outfitter.
But you guys are right. The habit most of us are into now of passing young bucks could be a double -edged sword. Sure, we see more bucks---but people that want to lease up all your land will notice too.
But if the idea is out there that if we pass enough deer, suddenly Indiana will be Ohio or Illinois, forget it, it's not going to happen. Most of the state has neither the genetics or the soil type to make it a reality.

I was in Pike and Adams yesterday scouting two areas for next year. I can honestly say Indiana has little to worry about.

It is in the early stages, but I am working with Tim Andrus from Realtree outdoors to come film a hunt in miami Co. next year. We are talking about a different approach to the filming. I suggested a more educational approach to hunters since alot of us don't go to the big ranches. it will be a show geared toward what to look for as far as signs go, how to read the signs and the land. and then the hunt. Like I said it is in the early stages of prep. but it looks like it will happen next year.

Indiana is years behind our neighbors, he knows it.
