My daughter can hunt the youth weekend on her apprentice general youth hunting license, correct?
I've read through the regs again, and confused myself (not all that difficult), so I just want to make sure we're hunting legally.

If your daughter has completed the hunters safety course and she is still under 18, then she doesn't need an apprentice license. My understanding is that an apprentice license is for someone who has never been to the hunter safety course and is pretty much trying out hunting. A person of any age can get an apprentice license.

Yes she can deer hunt with the apprentice youth license. It includes all the tags and stamps that are included in the regular youth comprehensive license without the requirement of attending the Hunters Ed class. However, I suggest getting her to the class asap. When folks have time and money invested in something like this they tend to stick to it longer.

Online is not a good way for kids to take the course. The test is much harder and they don't seem to retain as much.
