I have now had three can calls, and all three of them have stopped working after one or two seasons. They still move inside, but no sound! ?? I like the call, but sheesh! Anyone else have this problem?

I think the extremely thin rubber film seal dry rots in there. I'm sure they want you to buy a new one every couple years.

On second examination, only two failed. Still, two out of three?

Same here I have had 3 of them in 5 years the 1st one I had still made noise but it was a short quick bleat. Definitely not the most durable piece of hunting equipment out there.

I've had one Primos lil' can that started getting jerky sound, but as an alternative, you can blow through the hole to produce the sound if the internal can isn't moving right...
If the diaphragm is shot, you're done...
Once you've heard a can at work, you can replicate the sound with a good doe bleat call... just got to get the cadence and tone change right...

I've had mine since 2003 also. Works fine.
I got a Drury Heat Bleat last year though and I like it better. Not a can though.

Had mine in my truck and spilled a bunch of Coke into it a couple of days ago. Guess I'll be in the market for a new one even though I never had much luck with that one.
