Any purchases that you all still need to make? Are there more stands to hang and shooting lanes to clear? I need to keep shooting and pick up some new outerwear for fall/winter. Otherwise, I am ready to go!

Not quite ready yet but getting close, hanging stands in Ill. this weekend / checked out my stands behind the house today and they are good to go. Now all we need is the temp to drop about 50%.

I need to do a LOT more practice with my bow this year. Been a busy Summer so I've shot a lot less than normal.

I've shot broadheads into my foam deer to the point that I had to break out a can of triple expanding foam to repair it's core. A few lanes to clear and a ladder stand to erect and I'll be ready.

If it's as hot as it is today come Oct 1, I'm gonna have to pass until it cools down. I hate to sweat and slap skeeters while in my stand, but I am good to go otherwise. A good hard frost would ease my mind also, but I doubt it's gonna happen before then.

Haven't hung the first stand yet, but Dad and I did some clearing for them back in Feburary or so.
I also need to practice, practice, practice- I've probably shot the bow less this year than I have the last couple of summers....

ive shot my broadhead deer to death, its a good feeling when your b.h.s are flying better than your field tips. the only thing i really need to do is get the climber out and safety inspect it .gettin bored waiting .want to go now.

We've got most of our stands hung, all food plots are in. We are just counting down the days now! I think I get more excited each year for the start of bow season. There is nothing more relaxing than being perched in a tree on a cool October morning or evening, and there's no rush bigger than that of being within 30yrds of the majestic whitetail deer. I'm going insanse, it's all I think about. I really am obsessed with the whitetail deer!
