I have been playing back-up to my kids so far this season carrying my old .410 or my .22. Sunday I gave up and took my .17HMR. I got one little tiny gray that was beating feet away from my super stalker son. I hear this quiet voice say "Dad, I need help". Little fuzzy tail stopped and turned to see what had scared him and I zapped him at 60 yards. That 9x40 scope makes them seem way bigger than they are and polymer tipped rounds do wonders on their heads even at that range.

Me too. Got (3) fox squirrels Sunday AM. Can't beat small game hunting for something as abundant as squirrels for just good old fashioned fun.

Got 5 this p.m.- 2 fox, 3 grey. Rubbed it into my pal that these were taken with 5 shots from my trusty Winchester lever rifle...(he didn't fare as well, heehee).
