Has anyone here used the Scent Lok clothing? Mossy oak is pushing the pro staff to use it and had never tried it. What has everyone here thats used it thought about it?

Don't own any but I still manage to have several critters jump in front of my arrows and slugs every year.
Too much info around especially right now that tells me its a gimmick.

The experts say no way, But I think it might help, mostly because if you believe it works that gives you confidence as a hunter.
Sure doesn't hurt.

Opinion says it works ..... science says it doesnt.
Ill go with science and try to stay downwind of whatever I am trying to kill.

I've had deer smell me when I've had it on but maybe more deer would have smelled me if I didn't use it.
I'm not really sure how well it works but I have to have camo so I use it. I store it and all of my hunting goodies in a big rubbermaid container when I'm not hunting.
I think you should always use the wind when ever possible but deer don't always come the way you expect.

The old placebo effect.... ;D a down wind position in clean scent free clothes works just fine The experts say no way, But I think it might help, mostly because if you believe it works that gives you confidence as a hunter. Sure doesn't hurt.

I'm still not buying it. I do just fine with some scent away and try to hunt the wind.

I have s set of scent blocker and I like it. As far as it making your scent disapear-don't know. I know I did shoot a doe with my bow on the ground at 15 yrds. downwind one evening. I think it helps. But if you keep your regular camo scent free as possible, you don't need it. I think it's more on what's on the outside of the clothes than the inside. You can have scent block all you want and hide your body odors, but if you wear it in the gas station and then to get an egg mc muffin, it ain't gonna help you one bit. A gimmic? Maybe, but aren't a lot of the hutin toys we have "gimmics".

I believe that the new anti-bacterial stuff is the way to go, worn next to your skin. I bought some scentlok way back and still where it occasionally, but it has to be more or less ineffective by now. It was a great placebo, I was singin the praises back then when I was not as experienced.

Thats kind of what I thought,, with all the new facts about carbon regeneration coming out and the newer invention of silver thread and the colloidal silver sprays may lean more towards some of those than the scent loc,, I know all the pros wear it but I aint gettin paid like them.

Proof is in the pudding for me. My hunting success increased two fold after using the carbon suits. You have to keep them clean and activated. I have deer come in down wind all the time. I have had some that have winded me though and that could have been other factors, such as human scent on my stand or bow. No matter. It should not to be considered the absolute fix.

Never owned a set and never will. While it might help some, if you don't have the wind in your favor it doesn't make any difference what clothes you have on. A shower before hunting and clean clothes do just as good in my opinion. h.h.

I think they probably don't hurt, and I might try scent-loc some day. I wish they made scent-loc underpants. The amount of odor I produce seems to be directly related to what I had for lunch, and how much.
