Mine was actually last year during bow season, which happened to be the evening before gun season opened. I was in a stand and this big buck came down a ridge across a creek towards me and stopped broadside at 60 yards or so. He was looking away from me and stayed there for several minutes. I estimate him around 150 or so.

I was driving to my hunting spot one morning about 4 years ago. It was kind of foggy and I was driving through the rolling hills of southern Indiana. I was on a back road taking my time because of the fog, and as I came around the corner there was something standing just off the road. I could see that it was a deer and when I got up next to him my jaw dropped. It was the biggest deer I had ever seen. He had to be pushing 200 with tines everywhere. I guessed him to be about 26 to 30 inches wide and almost just as tall. I just wish someone would have been with me.

last day of firearms season 2003, had already taken a buck in archery season, was stalking for a doe. Looked to be a 200" typical. Most people will never see one that big, or have no idea what they are looking at.

Since i asked the question i guess i could answer it also..Mine was 2 years ago down in southern indiana. was out spotlighting one night and seen a 12 pointer that i guess would push close to 200. It was the biggest body deer i had ever seen also, almost looked like a cow with antlers. The next morning my uncle shot one that scored 184in....the two biggest deer i have ever saw in less than 24 hours.

Ive seen several over the years but the most recent one was 4-5 years ago in Feb. I was walking back to one of my food plots to see if it still was being used and up jumped this big buck after I walked by him. He jumped the fence and went straight away from me. His antlers looked like they stuck out past his ears by a foot on each side. I never got to see his whole rack but he sure was big going away. h.h.

I saw a buck last year a the Harmonie Park hunt that was a booner for sure. He was running full speed at about 75 yards in semi-thick woods. I wish I could have gotten him to stop for just a couple of seconds.

Several years ago while hunting on the best lease ever near Eagle pass Texas,I was setting in a dry embankment called a Tank or as we call them a pond. I had by back against a wall of dirt and was rattling deer horns for the first time. After about 5 or 10 minutes I stood up to stretch my legs,as I raised up I was face to face ,I mean 3 feet looking at the largest Rack I had ever seen on a deer in person. His eyes were bulging, hair on back standing up,and he was snorting. scared the %#$@*& out of me! Well as I tried togather my wits,The Buck jumped right over me,and bounded in to the mesquite brush befor I could pick up my 270 remington to take a shot. I had dreams about this for weeks.

I would have to say the biggest I have seen while hunting was last year during opening weekend of gun season.Actually I seen two that went between 170"-180"...I think I seen one of them last weekend before dark, looks like he's going to be a monster this year.

Had a hog right under me 5 or 6 seasons ago. Watched him rub a tree as he approached that I thought a deer had been hitting twice, once on each fork. Slipped and arrow about 1 foot over his back from roughly 8 yrds away. It wasn't long after that I went back to training wheels and peep sights for archery equipment.
I ain't the foggiest on "size" other then this deer had the shortest legs and widest body and rack I have ever seen live and in person.

October 13, 2006, saw a buck chasing 3 does just north of our property. He was just in the tree line, and only got a couple good windows to see the rack in its entirety, but my best guess is 160-175...a brute..nobody took him, neightbor guy found a shed and came up with 82 inches of bone...
i want him...

170 +/- @ Atterbury about 15 years ago. I first though that someone's mule was running loose until I saw the massave rack when he stepped out of a sassafras thicket.

The biggest buck that I have ever seen was way back around 1975 to 1980, closer to 1980 though, big body well over 230 lbs, huge rack, 12-14 points the biggest 10 to 12 inches long. Ran into an unpicked corn field, never seen it again. Probably swam the river to Ill and died of old age.

The largest Whitetail Buck, Ive seen, was in Ky a few years back. I was sitting in my Stand when a Huge Doe came running out of the woods about 125 yards from me into the field. Soon a HUGE buck came out and I scoped him and he had a very impressive set of antlers!! Since I already got my Buck, I had to let him walk, but I am guessing he would have dressed out at some 300 pounds!!!

I bow-shot a 218lb brute last year that had 141" antlers, my biggest ever... but when I saw him and drew on him, the antlers didn't seem very impressive. I could tell he was big-bodied and he was right under me, so I let 'er fly. I say all that, to say this... the previous year during the last weekend in December, in the same tree (on public land), I had an encounter with.... "God's Buck". I had literally stayed in the tree all day, even napped a little. As it approached 5:00pm I suddenly had the feeling that I could ask God for a deer, and He'd give it to me. I know it sounds crazy and it's never happened before or since. But I said, yes - please send a big one within the next half hour!... and this is where I start kicking myself... I just continued to sit there like a blob on my seat with my bow at my feet and staring blankly ahead. In ten minutes I hear a twig snap to my right, I look over and I see what appears to be one of Santa's reindeers walking straight at me! At 20 yards it turns to its right going broadside, in the open, and pauses.... I only had enough time to pick up my bow, half off my seat, and developing the worst case of buck fever I've ever experienced... I was shaking like a leaf. He noticed me and looked right at me. I swear when he turned his head, his antlers looked like a reindeer's. They swept up and out like a giant, ivory vase full of big long points... sorry, didn't get around to counting them. Most deer have a basket shaped rack. His went up high and long. His body was tall and rangy... had a big scar patch in the middle of his back. I'll probably never see another one like him in my life... but man, did I learn a lesson!

The biggest buck I ever saw while I was hunting was on the last Sunday of early archery season before the opening of firearms season. I had planned on leaving work early that morning in order to be in my stand by 12:30 that afternoon, but like an idiot I had let my boss talk me in to staying an extra hour.
I was 30 yards from my stand at about 1:30 when I noticed movement and stopped to watch a 2.5 year old buck chasing a doe past my stand. As soon as they passed I hurried to my stand, hoping the doe would bring another more mature buck back past my stand and that I would be set up in time. Unfortunately, I didn't look surrounding area over closely enough, and when I was about 5 yards from my stand a huge buck jumped out of a thicket 20 yards away and took off.
I'm not sure exactly how big he was but he was very wide with long, evenly spaced, matching points on both sides. His G2s and 3s on both sides were more than 11" and his G4s were pushing 10. The strongest lasting impression of his size though, was that he made the 159" 11 pointer I killed in the same area in 2001 look small by comparison. If I had to guess I would say he went in the 180s as a 10 pointer. I saw him a couple of more times over the next two years, sometimes while hunting and sometimes while not, but I never got that close to him again and as far as I know no one else ever got him.

Last season during gun season. I killed my biggest buck ever in bow season, so I was after a doe. I went into a valley that I hadn't hunted all season. I sat on the ground at the base of a tree one evening. I watched a spike and a nice 8 pointer early, then about 30 min. before dark, I saw the biggest 10 pointer I have ever seen. He headed right to me. He kept his head down and went into a small ditch. I realized that the trail he was on went right in front of me. He crested the knoll and looked up at me. At most, there was 5 yards inbetween us. He didn't take long to realize that the big blob setting on the ground wasn't just right. All I could do was laugh. It was either that or cry. I had been telling my brother in law to hunt that valley all season, but what did I know. By the way, the next day he was hunting right where I was setting.
