I haven't put much time into it at all. I pretty well know the drill for my spots. What I have seen have all been does - imagine that.

My spots have been the same for the last 15 years or so. Since I don't run a game camera I assume it will be business as usual. The main thing I look forward to each year is the deer reduction hunt and military hunt because it gives me a new place to hunt. h.h.

Headed to Grant County this weekend to work on the stands. Saw a couple shooters last year...just not though a scope or sight.

My friend that owns the property we hunt has been seeing more deer around his place this year than last. He has seen more does and fawns plus a bachlor group. This morning Bob came in to work and told me he saw a big drop tine buck in his alfalfa field Saturday night. I know what your thinking but he is not teasing a rookie. Bob seems to think that with all the flooding, storms , and fields planted late or not at all the deer are looking for new homes.

In the early season, I know which areas consistantly hold deer and the same for the gun season and beyond. Terrain and food play a major part in it for me.

We camped at our club last weekend to do some fishing and squirrel hunting. After dark we shined Salt Creek Rd from SR46 to Gatesville.
Friday night we counted 43 deer, 2 of them were bucks. Saturday we counted 64 deer with 3 of them being bucks.
