With working at Atterburry you may be able to access better areas than they off to the general public during hunting season,, there are all kinds of public land close by that area as well. Talk to the boys at the base and see whats what

If you are active duty I believe you get to buy the license at resident price. If not get a state ID card if you don't make IN your permanent residence, then you can buy the tags at resident prices.
Plenty of places including the base, state land, and the hoosier national forest isn't too far from you that you will be able to hunt.

With working at Atterbury you will be able to hunt the military side at free will. There is a lot of land there to hunt and there are some monster deer running around over there as well. I do bowhunt the public side a little during early season, but after that I try to stay away from the place. There is also Yellowwood State Forest that isn't all that far away from the base.

I would have to agree with the Hickory Hills BBQ. They also have some great chicken. He used to be right across from my house, but then he moved over to where he is now for a bigger place and a real kitchen. He was running the business out of a trailer.
